Thailand Trip- Day 7- Bangkok

Our final day in Thailand.  Our flight technically left at 2 am the following day from Bangkok to Okinawa, so we had quite a bit of time left for another day in Bangkok.  I love travel days that are not rushed.  Our flight left at 11 from Chiang Mai to Bangkok so we had plenty of time to eat breakfast at Rawisara Villa Resort where we stayed the duration of our time in Chiang Mai.  The kids loved this little table they had.

Sean had been fitted for a custom suit at the beginning of the week, upon arrival in Bangkok we went straight to the tailor to have him fitted again.  This place was pretty neat, they finished the suit after his second fitting and drove it 45 minutes to our hotel near the airport and delivered it straight to our room.

If you ask Ely what her favorite part of our trip to Thailand was, she will say the swimming pools and Funarium.  We ended up here as a time filler.  We arrived pretty close to closing and had a little over an hour. Most of their amenities were shut down that close to close, but the kids didn't care.  They had an absolute blast.  Ely asks to go back to Thailand, so she can go to Funarium.

Now I was particularly bummed this was closed.  Isn't this an AMAZING concept?  A massage while your kids are playing?  Yes please!

My final meal in Thailand, Pad Thai.

Our flight left at 2 am, our bus left from this hotel we only stayed at for less than 5 hours at 11 pm.  It was still a wonderful choice.  Koa went down for bed at his bed time at 7, Ely and I swam a while and went to bed.  Our room had pool access.  It was such a fun way to end our experience.

My amazing Sean stayed up so we wouldn't miss our bus, because I had to work this day I got around 2 hours of sleep, then we headed to the bustling Bangkok airport.

Chocolate on his face from the delicious chocolate croissant.  Thai croissants rival those of Paris... true story! My children were wide awake the whole time at the airport, 11:30-2.  We had mangos and sticky rice as a treat to try and pass time.  We slept, rather poorly, but slept on the flight home.  In all honesty, I would much rather do a red eye with kids.  They just sleep, vs. having to entertain them.

I share this photo to show that God is in the details.  Our flight landed at 8 am Okinawa time.  We exited the airport around 9. I picked up the pets at 10. Lunch at 11.  Walked a parade, and coached my kiddos through a performance 1-5.  We won 2nd place!  I so wanted to make the lantern festival, but my responsibilities back home made it so I had to come back this day.  I was able to do it all, and I am beyond grateful that Heavenly Father knew this was important to me so he made it possible for us to have all the experiences we desired. I remember shortly after taking this photo thinking to myself, that in this same day, I was in Bangkok and just finished walking an international festival in Japan.  I don't deserve these blessings, I am grateful I have received them.
