6 day old Ely

These were taken when Ely was six days old.... she is 3 weeks as I post these now and it makes me sad, she was so tiny when these were taken.  Our photographer came to our home, and it was so awesome, I couldn't imagine packing her up and going somewhere with us getting use to her sleep schedule and how I was doing postpartum.  It seems like the farther into our marriage we get, the more natural it is for us to take professional pictures, we were so awkward when we took our engagements (we laughed a lot) but as we took pictures here it felt so natural for us to be together.

Baby Ely 2 weeks old

Some more pictures of our sweet little girl.  The first picture was taken the day we brought her home from the hospital, the second was when she was a week old.  She is growing up so fast, it makes my heart hurt.  I want her to stay little forever.  She changes every day, I memorize her face and then the next day it is different from the one I was trying to remember the day before.

She has chameleon eyes.  Because she is next to the grey they look blue.

She loves music, she will calm down when she is upset if we play certain music for her or when her daddy sings to her.

She just started making this face, I love it.

I'm so in love with her little hairline

Elyanna Sway

Baby Ely came a week early!  We went in for our 39 week appointment and they told us it would be best if we got into the hospital to be induced that afternoon.  It was the last thing we expected to be doing that day, but trusted everything would turn out to be alright. Heavenly Father was present the whole time and there are several miracles associated with her arrival.  As we have held her the past four days we just have such an overwhelming sense of gratitude and love.  We so appreciate the out pour of well wishes and all the love we have received from our friends and family.  We are so in love with her.  Here are some photos from the past four days of having her in our life.

There are so many photos of Sean holding her for the first time, it absolutely made my heart melt so I couldn't stop taking pictures.  Another one of the "happiest" moments for me being able to see this.

Our first family photo.  We were all a little tired.

Right before we took her home

Rocco meeting her for the first time.

She was eating this hand in all 4 ultra sounds we had while I was pregnant.  She still always has it in her mouth now.

She hates socks.

We were a little unprepared for Halloween, we didn't expect for her to be here that soon, luckily we had this zebra outfit so she could dress up for the trick or treaters.  Daddy was spider man and I had to re think my Olaf costume I wore to dance classes earlier that week so I was a leprechaun.

On our third day home I told Sean to dress her.  This is what he put her in.  I thought it was adorable.   She is such a princess already, here she is getting her nails done by daddy.

I love Converse's reaction in this picture.   He has been mildly curious about her and runs away every time she cries.  When we laid her by him at first he was just like " what is this thing?"  He then acted like he didn't care and continued napping.

We decided to attempt the first hour of church today.  We sat in the back row by the door.  We were so nervous she would cry and were ready to dodge if she did. She slept the whole time!  She was such a good girl.  She looked so pretty.  I love this picture of her and her handsome daddy. Sean has been such a great partner in parenthood. He has been awesome in sharing the responsibilities and has probably been up late with her more than I have.  He lets me sleep and brings her to me every two hours for feedings. He loves staying up with her and participating in caring for her.  It has made me fall in love with him all over again.  I love our little family.
