Christmas Morning

I am really late posting these, but want to put them out there none the less.  This really is my only form of journalism these days.  Christmas morning, was exhausting and so much fun. Especially Koa, he had no expectations of this day.  He was so grateful and excited about every present, and spent a long time playing with each item before moving on to the next one.  I love that about being 1.  Ely plowed through her gifts,  which in a sense is also fun.  She received a special gift, a tea table that a wonderful elf made for her.  In all honesty, this Christmas was in a way, quite healing for me.  The year before we had a rough Christmas and I honestly thought that was the way things were from now on. I came into this one with my guard up, ready for it to be terrible.  It was the opposite, quite magical and special and rekindled my love of Christmas.  It's been a long time since I have had that in my heart.   It's important that we recognize holidays as potentially just another day  We give them so much power.  Just because we have had 1, 2 or even 3 bad Christmas's in a row, doesn't mean they all will be. I'm grateful for my tribe, my children, and the experiences we share together.
