This past weekend we celebrated Chilean Independence Day with some new, and newer friends. My mom is Chilean, and I've spent some time in Chile and love that part of myself. Through a mutual friend, I met another 1/2 Chilean woman like myself. This Friday we celebrated Chilean Independence Day at her home by eating empanadas & pastel de choclo. It was a good time. I love how fast paced it is here when meeting new people.
Saturday our family visited the Southeast Botanical Gardens. Usually to go sightseeing on Okinawa we have to drive a long time because of distance, traffic, and slower speeds. This however, is close to where we live! I secretly wish we would have bought an annual pass, I think that is coming in our near future, because I want to go again. It is so beautiful, plus they have extremely friendly animals. Have I mentioned I love Okinawa?

The bunny just hopped on Sean's lap.
This guy was just sitting in some man's lap eating food.
This little girl has no fear. Until I leave her bedroom, then the world is ending.
